Netbeans Subpixel Font Antialiasing

One of the [few] things I didn't like about NetBeans was the fonts in the interface, they weren't smoothed!
No problem! Just edit the netbeans.conf files, e.g. /opt/netbeans/etc/netbeans.conf and add this to the end of the netbeans_default_options line:
-J-Dawt.useSystemAAFontSettings=lcd
